PROTECTIVE ORDER

DO NOT CONSENT TO A FINAL PROTECTIVE ORDER WITHOUT CONSULTING WITH AN ATTORNEY!  You need an experienced attorney for you to fully understand your rights and to plan your best course of action.  You have many rights and issues at stake:  you can be removed from your home; you can be denied custody and/or visitation of your children; you can be forced to pay financial support; you could be made to go to counseling; and you can be ordered by the court to have other restrictions and sanctions.

There is a VERY good chance that, once a Protective Order is placed against you, criminal charges will soon follow.  Fighting the Protective Order from the start is extremely important.  As experienced lawyers, we will fight the Protective Order in court.  This will allow us to place the accuser under oath, cross-examine the accuser, and potentially win your hearing.  We have successfully prevailed for our clients in defending their criminal charges, and/or received more favorable results for our clients, all because of the results we achieved at that FinalProtective Order hearing.  We will fight for you.

There is a very small window of time, usually one week, once the Temporary Order is granted against you, until the date of your Final Hearing.  You cannot waste time or procrastinate.  Contact us immediately to plan your best course of action.

PEACE ORDER

DO NOT CONSENT TO A FINAL PEACE ORDER WITHOUT CONSULTING WITH AN ATTORNEY!  You need our law firm to help you fully understand your rights.  We will plan the best course of action for you.  There are many important issues at stake - you can be ordered to stop contacting certain people and to stay away from many places you normally go.

Many people think that having Peace Order issued against them is not a big deal.  People commonly say, “I’ll just stay away from that person and that will be the end of it.”  No big deal, right?  WRONG!!  The reason why: if you violate the Peace Order it is a criminal offense.  Why would you ever give another person the chance to charge you with a criminal offense, especially a person who does not like you – and who may not be honest?

Many criminal cases are the result of Peace Order violations.  People have criminal records and are sentenced to jail for Peace Order violations.  In fact, we have defended clients for criminal allegations of violating a Peace Order that did not qualify for a peace order in the first place!  They had consented to the original Order because they did not understand the serious consequences of a Final Peace Order.

There is a very small window of time, usually one week, once the Temporary Order is issued against you until date of the final hearing.  You do not have any time to waste.  Contact us immediately to plan your best course of action.
